开始我在我的本本上安装微软 Pivot 的，但在安装的过程中，提示以下内容：

Installation Pre-Requisites Not Met

Your Pivot installation could not complete because some of the system requirements were not met:

• Pivot installation requires Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows 7. The installation could not proceed because we have detected that your computer is not running one of these operating systems. Please try installing Pivot again on a computer that meets the system requirements listed below.
• Pivot installation requires the Windows Aero feature to be enabled. The installation could not proceed because we have detected that your computer does not have this feature turned on. Some computers do not support this feature, so please enable the Aero feature and re-run the installation, or install Pivot on another computer that meets the system requirements listed below. You can learn more about Aero by visiting Windows Vista Aero or Windows 7 Aero feature web pages.
• Pivot installation requires Microsoft .NET Frameworks 3.5 SP1 or newer. The installation could not proceed because we have detected that your computer is running an older version of .NET frameworks. Please click here to download and install .NET Frameworks SP1 before re-running Pivot setup.
• Pivot installation requires Internet Explorer 8 or newer. The installation could not proceed because we have detected that your computer is running an older version of Internet Explorer. Please click here to download and install Internet Explorer 8 before re-running Pivot setup.

System Requirements

Recommended System Configuration: Windows 7 with Aero enabled, 2-GHz 32-bit (x86) processor, 2 gigabytes of random access memory.

Supported System Configuration: Windows Vista with Aero enabled, 2-GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor.

Pivot is supported only on US English-based operating systems with US English date and time formats.

Graphics Card Requirements: at least 256 megabytes of video memory. Pivot does not support Intel integrated video chipsets without additional acceleration hardware.

Pivot requires .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and Internet Explorer 8. Pivot will import your browsing history from Internet Explorer and Firefox during installation.

Windows XP is not supported at this time. Pivot is not compatible with Windows Server Editions.

提示大家应该可以看懂，说得就是系统是XP系统、浏览器、.NET Framework等版本过低，对系统硬件的要求很要高出很多，需要安装Vista或Windows 7……这里我就不再一一介绍。

我的本本硬件配置太低，是XP系统，当然不让安装。就换到另外一台机器配置还符合要求，Windows 7系统，这样就顺利安装!

具体使用起来，感觉挺爽，界面简洁多了，效果和可能都大大提升，看来微软这次是花大力气做浏览器了，想抢回浏览器的霸主地位!
